Mary, Mary quite contrary how does your garden grow?  I remember the beginning of that little nursery rhyme. The question that was asked, how does it grow? As my family and I have served Park View Christian Church for the past year and a half, this church has experienced growth. It has been an exciting privilege to serve the church and watch it grow. I have been asked this question repeatedly, how does a church grow. What is the secret, what are you doing, what have you changed. The questions come like an avalanche; once they start they do not stop.

As I wait to answer the questioner, I always think of the Apostle Paul when he said, some planted, others watered, but only God makes it grow. (1 Cor 3:6-9). Truly it is the Lord allowing it to grow. It is not based on a program, or one sermon. It is based on the Lord and Him alone. No this does not mean we stop working or stop planning, rather, what it does mean, is that when we have given our very best, God will give us His very best also.  He will touch the work of our hands.

Park View Christian Church, this has been an exciting time to be a part of something that is greater than all of us. As we continue to move forward I encourage each of you to get involved in the Church. There is plenty of room for everyone to have a hands on experience. From the kid’s church to the greeters, each and every ministry is important and they all are lacking one important element. That Element is you.  Lets grow this Garden together, to the glory of God.
