What God is preparing you for is greater than where you are now currently. As I wrote that line I was encouraged ; you see God is not done with you, He knows where you are and is still working with you, for your future.

I remember Moses, as he ran from Egypt, a man running for his life and running seemingly, from His calling, to the desert. He would send 40 years on the back side of the desert getting ready for what God had called him to do, to be the great deliverer. David was called to be a King, but he spent much of his preparation time far from the kingdom, on the run or hiding in caves. Not in the palace practicing speeches, and learning how to speak with dignitaries. Yet he is still celebrated as Israel’s greatest King.

For many of us, if we would be honest, we would tell God, “you messed up God. There is no way you are getting me to my purpose from here; I am too far from it and the situation is not ideal.”

I do understand those words of frustration; however we have to remember He is the potter and we are the clay. He knows what we have to go through, to get us where we need to be. It might seem like the long way, or even, at times, the most painful way. We can truly rest assured that He is in control, and He will lead us to the place and shape us along the way, so that we can be the most effective once we get there, and also not break under the weight of our calling once we are there.
