OK, here is a confession from the Pastor. I am a lawn guy; yes that guy who doesn’t want kids to cut through my lawn. I am the guy that looks for weeds on a regular basis so that they don’t take over the lawn. I keep a regular fertilizing schedule so that the grass stays green. I am already thinking about what seed to uses this next fall for replanting. I have even cut the grass with a flashlight because I could not let it get too long in-between cuttings. Yes, I have a problem, but I also have a point.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes that there is a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; Everything has a season. The reality of our lives is not every season in our lives are as enjoyable as others, some are just painful and requires a lot of work to get through.
We have to be watchful that we do not allow weeds to develop and choke out the good that is there in our lives. We must cultivate healthy relationships and be mindful of others around us. We cannot allow others to trample and destroy the beauty that is there. You are beautifully and wonderfully made.
Yes, this might even require us to have to do some late-night work on ourselves, so that we maintain and grow into who God is molding us into. To do things that others are unwilling to do so that we are constantly moving with God and His plans for our lives.
Park View Christian Church, as we continue to move forward with God together, there will always be changing seasons of ministry and life. As a Church, we have the opportunity to move through them together, not isolated, rather with others that are moving together. Believing in a great God, who wants to do great things through you as an individual and as a corporate body of believers. Be encouraged.
